Elba Alvarado (She/Her) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who enjoys working with a diverse population and a range of mental health issues. She earned her Bachelors in Psychology at Vanguard University and then her Masters in Clinical Psychology with emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Azusa Pacific University.
For three years, Elba was a Board Certified Autism Technician and provided ABA services to children. She has also worked in school settings for at risk youth and a residential substance abuse home as a life skills counselor. More recently she’s worked at UCLA ’s OCD IOP program for adults as a Behavioral Coach and a therapist for Victims of Crimes.
Currently, Elba works at Teen Therapy Center providing therapeutic services to individuals, children, teens, families and couples. Special Interest include:

- Children of Narcissistic Parents
Elba comes from a Hispanic culture background that includes family members of Special Education/Teachers, Probation Officers, Police/ Detectives and Social Workers. Having a diverse background helps her connect with many and create a safe space for people to process and learn. She enjoys helping people find their voice and learn how to advocate for themselves. Elba is also a LGBTQ+ Ally and provides therapy services using a behavioral lens plus parts of other therapeutic techniques in order to create a personalized treatment for her clients.
